I'm Tara!  Owner of 151.salon & my behind the chair business 'RedsTrends'.  In the 'About 151' page you can read my inspiration for 151.salon ; )

Simply put, I love what I do. Working with hair has always been an artistic outlet for me. I consider it part of my life balance. Having the chance to customize a look to complement you and to make you feel good is what I love most!

With 20+ years in the industry, my passion for education and being granted the ability to travel the country has helped build my skills to stay sharp and on-trend for you. Trips to New York have really been impactful on my sense of style and current trends.  My career has lent to many great mentoring opportunities.  In the last 8+ years I have had the joy of working as an educator both local & a bit of travel.  Sharing ideas with fellow stylists has grown to be another great passion of mine.  This balance of behind the chair & educating has been a lot of fun!

Haircutting & coloring are my favorite way of bringing out your style and personality. I really enjoy women's short hair and the creativity it brings out of me. I enjoy specialty cuts for curly hair as they allow me to read your curl type, design your haircut when dry or wet & teach you to love your curls.  I like to keep my days interesting; I truly love doing many types of hair!
